I grew up outside of Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Oregon State University, I moved to Washington, DC, and worked in the U.S. Senate and then at the White House. Later, I graduated from The George Washington University Law School and clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in Jackson, Mississippi.

I’m now an attorney in Washington, DC, where I live with my wife and daughter. When I’m not spending time with my family or working, I enjoy writing and photography.
